Julie: Omere Foundation is a non-profit organization promoting health awareness and life education. We are raising awareness about how to better understand our bodies, be self-conscious, and advocate for preventative medicine rather than the curative medicine widely practiced today.

Be Relax: What does healthy aging mean for you?

Julie: Longevity is not only living longer but also living longer and healthier. We are talking about increasing the health span. Healthy aging entails being aware of our health risks and taking proactive steps to prevent chronic diseases, by living a healthy lifestyle. It’s never too late; however, it’s best to tackle it at an early age. Healthy aging means having the right diet, the right movement, and the right sleep, but also being able to manage stress, emotions, and finances! Financial well-being is a new trend, as poor finances cause a lot of stress, accelerating the development of chronic diseases.

Innovative and trendy healthy habits

Be Relax: What is the current trend in people’s lifestyles and healthy habits?

Julie: There are a few promising and relevant trends that can drive you into a healthy lifestyle; for example, moving 30 minutes every day can increase your cardiovascular capability. Sleeping around 7 to 8 hours per night and emphasizing the early hours from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m. is important since skin cell renewal is doubling during this time. Another important approach is TCM concept (traditional Chinese medicine), which touches health in a unique  way.

Be Relax: What innovations can we see in wellness these days?

Julie: One of the trending innovative wellness methods is the hyperbaric oxygenation chamber. It boosts the natural healing power of the body by giving a higher amount of oxygen to the lungs than would be possible by breathing pure oxygen.

Another example is the longevity diagnostic. With a blood test, the doctor is able to define your biological age and check how old each of your organs is.

Lastly, it is the red light treatment. A beneficial technique that uses low-level wavelengths of red light to help treat skin conditions, helping you ensure that your skin stays clean and healthy.

Julie: Art therapy! This year I am going to work on mental wellbeing by focusing on art and creativity. It is a great way to totally disconnect and unwind.

Envisioning wellness in 2034

Be Relax: Julie, what do you personally think wellness will look like in 10 years?

Julie: I dream of a world with organic food everywhere—no more transformed products but delicious and tasty organic food. I dream of a world without endocrine disruptors and cancerous particles.

I believe that within 10 years, mental well-being will take a big place. It will become as important as physical health.

These are some of Julie’s innovative approaches to wellness and healthy aging. On top of that, we can expect an increase in preventative medicines using AI. This will help to predict the health journey of a patient and postpone or suppress the potential chronic conditions.
