For the first time in history, World Cup will take place in the Middle East, in Qatar. Traditionally, the event is during June and July; this year, it will take place from November 20th to December 18th to avoid the summer heat in Qatar. How to get ready for this exceptional world event?
Country Entry permission
1. Check the visa requirements
There is a visa-free entry for over 85+ countries, and their list is available here.
2. Register for Hayya Card:
All travelers to Qatar from November 1 to December 23 must present their Hayya Card. Travelers without this fan ID won’t be allowed to enter the country since tourist visas were suspended between November 1 and December 23 for non-FIFA World Cup travelers. Check out how to get your Hayya Card here.
3. Get your PCR test before flying to Qatar
It is recommended that all visitors to Qatar are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and bring a negative PCR test certificate valid for 48 hours.
4. Download Ehteraz Mobile App
Ehteraz is the official COVID-19 contact tracing application operated by the Ministry of Public Health. Before entering the country, you must download the Ehteraz Mobile Application, and you can register yourself here.
Flying to Qatar
After checking all the administrative requirements, whether you stay in Qatar or use one of the air shuttle services, ensure you arrive early at the airport. If you book a flight for a match, select one that arrives at least four hours before match kick-off.
With some extra time at the airport, you can get a special supporting country-flag manicure done, or an energy-boosting massage before your flight at Be Relax Spa.
You can find us in Dubai DXB Terminals 1 & 3, in Doha HIA in the Central area & North Terminal (shower facilities), and in Doha DIA in the departure area. And we are also available in major hubs in North America and Europe.
